productivity of crops in the state during 2016-17 for crops, like paddy and maize was 5622 and

In the state of A.P, 15.41 lakh ha of area is under horticulture with production of 202.50 lakh
MTs. The area under fruits is 5.76 lakh ha, vegetables 2.28 lakh ha, spices 2.37 lakh ha and
plantation crops 4.58 lakh ha. Oil palm, banana, sweet orange, papaya, mango, citrus, chilli and
tomato are major horticultural crops in the state.
Fertilizer consumption
Total consumption of N, P 2O 5 and K 2O was 9,82,874, 4,79,190 and 2,24,902 tonnes,
respectively, whereas the consumption of ZnSO 4 was 5,072 and 1,541 tonnes in Kharif and Rabi
season, respectively in 2016-17.
