Delegates from United Kingdom comprising Prof. Mark Swainson, University of Lincoln, Prof. Mark Rutter, The National Centre for Precision Farming, Harper Adams University and Prof. Ronald Corstanje, School of Energy, Environment and Agrifood Cranfield University and Ms. Swati Saxena, Senior Science and Innovation Advisor, British High Commission, New Delhi visited ICAR-IISS, Bhopal on November 9, 2016 to bring together UK and Indian Scientists to identity potential areas for joint collaboration in precision farming and natural resource management. They discussed the impacts of long-term fertilizer trials on soil management, soil quality and resilience; micro-and secondary nutrients on soil and plant health, microbial decomposition and rapid composting techniques for enhanced decomposition of waste materials.
